CANON: God Eater 2
INFO: A stoic young man who just wants to sit in the woods and read a book. However he rarely gets the opportunity to do this since he comes from a highly millitaristic background and was basically his world's equivalent of a super soldier... who then got experimented on until he turned into his world's equivalent of a planet-devouring monster. Fun times. But canon jabs aside, he's a very responsible person and does a lot of stuff for his friends without telling them, so he can be quite a good older brother stand-in if anyone needs that. Or just a quiet friend who wouldn't judge.

As an aside, he also carries the 'will' of the Earth inside himself, if it's relevant to magic-sensitive characters. It wants to reset the planet, basically, and he's using his body as a cage to keep it in check. It has somewhat debilitating consequences but he's good at hiding it on the outside, so it could be a good CR starting point.

MAGIC: Growing plants from his body, as a nod to his canon ability. You may find him literally grafted into a tree by accident. Please pull him out (gently).

CR REQUESTS: FRIENDS. Julius needs friends. People to ask him to hang out and talk about his issues because his repression ended up giving him a horrific fate. Since he's a very justice-minded person, I'm open to rivalries or even maybe enemies??? Anything goes really! Just let me know.

MAGIC: From his info: Enlivening. Up to 10 feet around Geir, seeds will sprout, people or animals will feel refreshed or invigorated, etc. (NOT healing - just a bracer). When controlling the effect, he can expand it to a wider area, focus it to give living thing(s) a bigger boost at his direction, bring back the dead, or make a nonliving object live, in order of how much exertion that will take; the latter two will wipe him out for a long time and have a lot of caveats.

CANON: Original character from a Norse myth-based world!
INFO: We did a world and history writeup here but essentially: the world is super violent and full of war because humans wants to make it into Valhalla by dying in battle, magic users have a tough time because they don't fit neatly into the world system, Vern's family (mostly magic users) dies because of this, Vern goes off the deep end a little and tries to summon the World-Serpent Jormungand to start Ragnarok and end the whole mess . . . and instead they decide to tentatively try living and experiencing the world together, which turns out way more complicated than kickstarting world destruction could ever have been.
MAGIC: HE CAN SENSE YOUR FEEEEEEELINGS if you get within ten feet of him (the closer you are within that range, the more nuance he'll pick up)! The idea with this was to have him have a perpetual reminder that hey, other people are around him but not necessarily always out to get him the way he's trained himself to think they are.
CR REQUESTS: Anything! Everything! People who will have some patience and understanding for a kind of snappy initially hostile loser who will have no idea what to do with his power would be a blessing. He will also get along a little better and warm up faster to people who are to the point and sensible and willing to explain things to him. I would ideally like to get him out of his shell some so he doesn't just perpetually hide in a fort made of his giant snake partner (rootandbranch)'s coils the entire game.

ABOUT: I am 100% a crazy cat lady. My city has been having an "Excessive Heat Wave" and covered in smoke the past week, so I have been all but useless.

CANON: Original Character
INFO: Bitchy witch hunter/city guard, is an arrogant know it all who kind of enjoys being cruel to others. Comes from underground! Thinks magic is toxic and wants nothing to do with it, so it's safe to say she's having a hard time with this adventure in her own way. Some bullet points:

-Her people are the Hel-folk, which kind of lazily translates to like 'the below folk'. Her people live in the undercity of Vos, which was carved out by giant beetles once upon a time, but when humans found it abandoned they were given permission to move in, in exchange for trade agreements.
-Hel-folk are mostly human but have changed over time to adapt to their new surroundings, they have reflective membranes in their eyes like cats, and little pointy ears. Mainly vegetarians.
-Hel-folk think magic sucks and don't allow people to use it in their city. They use some magic-ish things, but they see a difference between casting a charm and writing one. They don't like the way magic can change you and pollute you if you let it into your body/soul.
-There are also Sol-folk, abovegrounders, who are completely polluted by said magic. After a cataclysm that destroyed an advanced world, magic went wild and has infected every living thing aboveground. Hel-folk think they're insane, cruel, wasteful, weak people.
-Carla is a Witchfinder, which is a prestigious kind of city guard who hunts down people in Vos who have begun to dabble in magic, they are almost always subdued with murder.
-This work suits Carla a lot, she's a selfish thrillseeker. Too smart intellectually for her own good, but quite emotionally void. Not good at feelings or being a person. This is both tolerated and praised in her culture.
-Controlling and manipulative, but at the same time when she feels powerless she can become quite surly and act out in a number of unhealthy ways.
-She's a jerk.

MAGIC: Resurrection, it is a power she absolutely detests and does not want to use ever.
CR REQUESTS: I fell off the map the second half of the month, so I feel like I am still in the "everything" phase but here's stuff I know tends to go over well from the past:

-Other shitty shitheads to be a jerk with/at
-Willful, independent young people for her to awkwardly feel mentorship towards.
-'Looks sweet but has definitely killed a man' types for her to wheedle about how nasty they really are. Seriously, if you are conflicted in any way about the nature of good/evil Carla will gladly make you feel like a monster. Usually by example.
-Intellectually arrogant types for her be a jerkass knowitall with.
-Nice normal people who want to frustrate her with their niceness.
-Thoughtlessly promiscuous types to entirely handwave boners with. Carla's a filth beast.

INFO: He is an energetic and slightly neurotic teenage boy with a magical best friend. He's really into martial arts and loves to make nachos, he's also a little bit of a dork and tries to pretend that he's cooler than he actually is!

He's actually a really good kid, even if he's really insecure at times and doesn't quite know what to do with himself. He's bad at talking to girls (mostly ones that he likes) and really good at cleaning and making lists and plans! He's not ashamed to admit that he likes boy bands or that he led a princess rebellion, not even a little bit.

Since he comes from a canon where magic is pretty prevalent he'll acclimate pretty well, but the jury is still out in regards to how he'll do when he realises that he has powers of his own. Please expect many cheese mishaps.

MAGIC: The ability to create and manipulate nacho cheese. It's totally useful and potentially dangerous.

He takes a bit of time to warm up to people, but quick ways to his heart are through befriending his friends and being a good sparring partner. Seriously he loves his friends and challenges (i.e. athletic and fighting challenges) and nothing else basically. Come talk to this loser.
MAGIC: Creating an invisible barrier around himself that shields him from attacks. When he gets a little practice he'll be able to extend it over one person/object next to him.
CR REQUESTS: ANYTHING? Seriously Riku is great for both positive and negative CR because he's a bit of a grump and can either manage to be pretty decent to you or a mouthy brat who doesn't have time for this. Your mileage may vary. I'd really love for him to pick up some neat sparring partners who could teach him some things since he's going to feel very useless without his Keyblade. Otherwise I'd love a mixture: people to argue with, people to tease, people to befriend.

INFO: jeanne is the holy maiden and canonized catholic saint who famously led the french to victory against their english foes during the hundred years' war—as a teenage peasant girl—after hearing the voice of god telling her to do so. she's a ruler class servant in fate/, which is a rare class called upon to supervise dangerous holy grail wars and Make Sure Everything Doesn't Die, essentially. she's also your mom and she really wants you to go to church and be a good child.
MAGIC: when characters say her true name—"jeanne" or "jeanne d'arc"—they're granted temporary invulnerability while she takes on any suffering that character is experiencing. basically, you're just piling all your emotional/physical/mental trauma onto a saint for a while. please check out my app for more info on limitations and how it works! fun facts: it can take effect without anyone noticing it.

INFO: Sanaki rules the biggest, oldest, and most powerful counry in her world. She is also about six inches tall and has to contend with at least half of her government actively plotting against her. She wants to do the right thing, but she's used to doing it by being incredibly domineering, slightly paranoid and occasionally calculating and manipulative. Gets really mad if you treat her like a little kid, which she objectively is.
MAGIC: She has command stars, to sort of borrow an idea from canon! Basically, if you're under Sanaki's leadership and doing what she says, you essentially get a stat buff for it. For example, if she tells you to climb a wall, you'll suddenly be better at climbing until you're up there. You only get the buff if you actually follow orders, of course.
CR REQUESTS:
-People who will accept "I'm the empress of a country you've never heard of and can't visit" as a reason to put up with getting pushed around by a toddler. She needs a certain amount of clout.
-People who won't, preferably if they're the type who can earn her grudging respect. This is basically her dynamic with the protag in canon.
-Other people who have responsibilities back home and are anxious about what's going on without them, because that's gonna be a thing. She doesn't consider herself too important to commiserate.
-Maybe possibly Parents? She has several in canon but they're not what you'd call common muses, to say the least. The common thread is adults who treat her with respect, but still recognize that she's a kid who's never been allowed to be a kid.

INFO: surprise! it's not really robin hood! this guy is just an asshole who took up the name to defend his village from oppression - he's not the man who originated the legend, but he's one of several existences that could be called robin hood, so here he is. (It's Complicated.) he loves people but will defend that secret to the grave...by being an asshole all the time. most of the time. he's also really good at being sneaky and covert...and poisoning people...and assassinating people...so good at it that he can't fight face to face at all, making him extremely punchable if he's caught off guard. he deserves it.

MAGIC: he can turn into a bluebird. i picked this because it was funny but it can actually help in his Super Sneaky Sabotages since no one expects a bird to turn into a person and stab them in the throat.
