ABOUT: i'm a student working towards a master's degree! i love fate/, persona, tons of jrpgs, bad steam games, mobile games like f/go and frozen free fall (don't look at me), watching lpers, and cooking. c: i'm also the person with the "impeachtrump" account on the fate/grand order english server

NAME: jeanne d'arc (ruler)
CANON: fate/apocrypha
INFO: jeanne is the holy maiden and canonized catholic saint who famously led the french to victory against their english foes during the hundred years' war—as a teenage peasant girl—after hearing the voice of god telling her to do so. she's a ruler class servant in fate/, which is a rare class called upon to supervise dangerous holy grail wars and Make Sure Everything Doesn't Die, essentially. she's also your mom and she really wants you to go to church and be a good child.
MAGIC: when characters say her true name—"jeanne" or "jeanne d'arc"—they're granted temporary invulnerability while she takes on any suffering that character is experiencing. basically, you're just piling all your emotional/physical/mental trauma onto a saint for a while. please check out my app for more info on limitations and how it works! fun facts: it can take effect without anyone noticing it.
CR REQUESTS:
✞ a potential master! servants in fate/ form contracts with magi or other human beings with magical energy in order to survive. rulers like jeanne typically don't need masters, but that option will be open to her here! c: i'm super interested in exploring any development related to this, because she's such a loner.
✞ religious characters! they don't need to be strictly of the catholic/christian persuasion, either; jeanne would appreciate anyone of devout faith.
✞ any characters with a connection to holy figures in their world, holiness or sainthood in general, that sort of thing
✞ FRIENDS! she needs some more! guy friends to hang out stoically with (look, she rode horses with like hundreds of soldiers for months), girl friends to teach her about the great mysteries of Girl Stuff and Love, anyone.
✞ characters who could benefit from a supportive ~~mom~~ally!
✞ bad characters who need to be refereed or punished
✞ characters to scandalize her (it's easier than you might think)
✞ other outsiders so they can all be outsiders together

SO, Kosuzu could conceivably have heard scattered and inconsistent information about the historical Jeanne D'Arc, has also debatably met the founder of modern Buddhism, and also knows of but doesn't particularly understand modern Earth society

THAT SOUNDS PRETTY REASONABLE i mean there's a ton of different takes on her in actual history, from what i understand! jeanne would be totally willing to tell her what's real and what isn't... by fate/standards anyway...

also, modern earth society is confusing, they have all these planes and stuff

that said, i think she'd be really interested to hear anything about buddhism! her prayer works as a sort of meditation for her c:

i also just wanted to say that that is such a cool and unique magic ability and sounds like it will be so much fun to play around with! I WOULD HAVE NEVER COME UP WITH THAT BUT IT'S... LITERALLY PERFECT FOR HER

thank you so much! i was originally gonna go with something different but the promise of making my character suffer was too tempting... i hope it ends up fun!! i'll probably have a prompt dealing with it on the opening log and post an opt-out/permissions post for her powers stuff on her journal soon. SHE SORT OF, ANNOUNCES HER NAME A LOT out on the battlefield so that's where it came from!

also, i want cr with judge mathis! i've heard so much about him through friends who are into tales... she likes talking to Nice Boys. she'll also tell him to take care of himself? what's not to love tbh

JUDGE MATHIS LFMDHFJD i would absolutely love to have cr with jeanne, and that's so so cute. he's really into history, so when he learns about the whole servant thing, he's probably going to be all starry-eyed.

i'm still so despondent... i forgot to do log-in on friday bc the day turns over at like 11 pm my time so my 40-day consecutive log-in spree since game opening just ended...........

So! Sanaki here descends from a long line of theocratic prophet-queens who lead the country to prosperity because they were guided directly by the goddess her world worships. For various reasons, she hasn't actually manifested this ability herself and she doesn't feel great about that.

What I'm saying is she would 1.) be instantly drawn to Jeanne and admire her a lot and have a lot to talk about and 2.) feel completely inadequate around her, and I'm game for both. ~~She also tends to cap Magic at like level 11 so she might be a pretty powerful Master candidate.~~

woah, that's really cool!! it seems like they're an awesome match, already, yeah! c: jeanne would be so intrigued to hear about other people who've been guided by gods in their world... even if sanaki's just talking about her ancestors and doesn't have the ability herself, yet! i can see her offering to lead sanaki in prayer to try to help her link with her goddess, if that sounds like something you'd want.

cr with inadequacy and difficult feelings like that is so good, too... i'm totally down! jeanne feels inadequate herself, from time to time, so there's probably the potential for a lot of bonding.

Haha, there's a whole complicated and incredibly spoilery deal with the goddess, I'm down to have her discuss it ICly if you don't mind. (I mean it's not like it's a game you can go pick up somewhere for a reasonable price these days seeing as Nintendo is Bad at Distribution, but I'm trying to spoiler warn for FE10 stuff everywhere because a friend of mine is playing 9 for the first time right now, so, just in case.)

Haru would be part of the morality squad. But also let's be friends and have tea together. I could also see them supporting each other if they really formed a good friendship!!!

yay, morality! they should have tea... jeanne likely isn't that used to sitting down and sipping tea like a proper lady, so that would be super cute. c: i love haru!
