WORLD ONE: AIMINTAS

You blink and that's all it takes. At first the picture doesn't come in clear, like you're waiting for a screen to fully load -- more aptly, it's like you're waiting for a camera to focus so you can find image clarity. Before you happened to rapidly close your eyes and open them, your life was normal...well, normal for you, anyway. Fighting an alien, making a quesadilla, dying. And then that blurry picture suddenly takes over... Some of you might open your eyes to find yourself wandering around a sandy area, outside of a large stone house. There's a large glimmering caravan floating around outside, which might intrigue you. There's also a lot of supplies, food, clothing...all just laying around outside. It's worth investigating, right?
- A1: Once your character touches the caravan, they can't remove their appendage from it. Kick it? Their foot is stuck. Touch it? Their hand is stuck. Lick it? Their tongue is stuck. They'll remain like this for 15 minutes without magical intervention. - A2: Your character's hand doesn't stay for long, but the caravan holds onto that hand for five seconds while giving your character a pretty excruciating burn. Medic! B ▢ Maybe they're smart and they don't touch the caravan. Let's go through all of this cool stuff on the ground! It might be sort of obvious that it belongs to someone -- a lot of someone's -- but your character is thirsty, confused...maybe there's some water or answers in this pile. And maybe there's also someone who catches your character going through their shit. |

Other new potential coven members will find themselves in a completely different part of town. These lucky individuals will have suddenly appeared in the marketplace area of Aimintas, surrounded by walking lizard beings that suddenly turn and take an immediate interest in this stranger.
On the other hand, you might learn something interesting talking to them. A friend might join in either way! D ▢ Once you break free of the Palai, you'll find that this marketplace is pretty interesting. It's a mixture of primitive and semi-modern technology...or is it totally unfamiliar to you? Never seen a cellphone before? Unfamiliar with the concept of women wearing pants? There's certainly something to see that'll interest your character here. E ▢ Finally, you might be hungry and thirsty after suddenly appearing. The Palai are masters of making food, including a new concoction of theirs that they're trying out in honor of all the new people. It's a sort of bottled fruit juice that has been energized by the Eltos. It's essentially the first Aimintas Red Bull, except on acid. The drink immediately makes anyone who drinks it extremely giddy, hyper and they may potentially hallucinate. It doesn't seem to bother the Palai's biology, but everyone else...oops! |

The setting found in Aimintas is pretty expansive, so you have a lot of room to wander around. Here are a few things that might catch your eye if you're really committed to wandering around.
G ▢ The Palai have constructed a large library in the middle of town. If you wander in here, you'll find a myriad of books in a strange language. The Palai are a rather visual people, though, so many include pictures and illustrations. They also have a collection of computers here that connect to the Aimintas internet, as well as visual media stations that can play videos -- though they're really just powered tablets that play video files. Time to get a little taste of the Palai culture. H ▢ Wildcard prompt. Go nuts and utilize your own creativity within the setting. This can mean striking out on your own or utilizing a certain location in a different way. The world is your oyster! |

Reconsider your life.
Reconsider your choices.
Because honestly, he's completely ignoring her right up until she calls him a pig, at which point he's willing to give her his attention.]
You should take care, child. We so often take acts as simple as speech for granted...only after we lose it, do we realise its true value.
[Make no mistake he's threatening to cut out her tongue.]

Which is to say! There is absolutely no way! She's going to back down! Even if her self-preservation protocols are warning her that this may not be the wisest move!
Truthfully, she can't help herself. This is merely a part of her character. Sadism comes naturally to her and is something she doesn't need to overact. Regardless of her target, BB would still speak with open impudence if she deemed it necessary.
And let's be real. A Grand Servant rendered stuck by a measly security spell? That's funny enough to comment upon. More importantly is the fact that a Grand Servant is here to begin with.]
But Hassan-san ❤ Seeing you like this feeds into my nurturing personality as a kouhai. To lend a helping hand while stepping on the person's face is like breathing to me, y'know? You're on a whole different level compared to most Servants, though. Just like me! So I wonder--
[She taps her pointer against her cheek now.]
--how'd you get here in the first place?
no subject
It doesn't mean he's happy about it though.]
I would imagine in a similar fashion to thine own, spirited away with little warning and no explanation to be found.
[He looks back to the caravan, pulling at it.
...of course he can't pull himself free, so the caravan actually pulls with his hand. It's even easier to move since it's floating.
But he's not about to leave with the whole thing glued to him.]
no subject
She may be an illogical creation, but even a broken clock gets the time right twice a day.]
I'd think a Grand Assassin would have more patience.
[Lying in wait for the perfect chance to strike and all. Though she isn't sure if those rules apply to Hassan. BB taps her pointer on the caravan.]
Don't worry! It'll go away for sure. Anyway, our situation is overall unusual. I'm beginning to think we've been transported to another solar system.
[Because... honestly. The lizard people? A big giveaway.]
That, or another singularity.
no subject
The World does not speak to me here.
[Of course, his contract with their Master changes things usually, but if he's disconnected from them and being brought elsewhere, he'd assume the forces that be would have something in mind for him, befitting his role.
But that isn't the case.]
Nor do our connections to Chaldea hold weight any longer.
[And that just how it be sometimes.]

She is, at her core, a fanatical creature born of repressed love. A defective AI guided by broken rules but, more importantly, by a perceived "heart." Servants are reliant upon their Masters, but the degrees vary. BB-- well.
BB's very existence has always hinged on reckless obsession. She hadn't gained self-awareness of it until she's been granted the distance of "time" from her experiences. She knows what it's like to be consumed by desire for a singular person.
In short, she's undergone what many would call character development. But it doesn't mean her faults have vanished. BB is still intrinsically unhappy at the idea of being cut off from Chaldea -- and at the prospect of finding another Master.]
Stranded like trash in a vast and unknown sea.
[BB sighs.]
Seriously, this is no stage for us.
[SULK SULK]

It's a lie to say he has no feelings. When he, of all people, was handed a gift around Valentine's Day he was...caught off guard. Such a small, insignificant thing, to be given to someone like him, and yet...he definitely felt something that day. Something his time in solitude could never give him.
His contract was more than a contract. He was granted an opportunity unlike any other, however brief it was, serving as a normal servant. Someone to grow attached to. To protect, rather than kill. To grow fond of.
But...he isn't like other servants. He has obligations to forces far greater than their Master. Than Chaldea. Than anything else--
For that average, straightforward contract he'd established that actually brought him joy to come and go so quickly, well, it's merely something he'll accept. He has no other choice.
And besides, a skull mask isn't especially expressive. It doesn't betray his thoughts at all.]
So what will you do, unbound as you are?
no subject
If a beautiful butterfly such as myself can transverse the boundaries between worlds to meet my Master, then performing the same trick twice should be no problem.
[BB has no interest in this world. One way or another, she's clawing her way back to Chaldea.]
Don't you think so, Hassan-san?
no subject
But...all living things seek comfort, be it in death or otherwise. If a troublemaker's wandering heart wishes for it, even their delinquency will serve to bring them a step further along the road to home.
[Not exactly a straight answer, but the intention's clear, at least.
This is what happens when you don't have anyone to talk to for thousands of years, probably.]

Awww. That's so sweet that I almost feel like puking! What an uncharacteristic gesture from Death himself, lending words to the crestfallen yet spunky heroine. I'll reserve you a seat on the BB Express: Intergalactic Line and I'll make it eeeeeextra big for you, Hassan-san~❤
no subject
[Especially since as he finishes saying that, his hand drops from the caravan.
But there's no doubt his time spent in Chaldea has softened him...a little.]
no subject
Oh, good. You've finally broken free! Anyway, I think a collaboration would provide far greater benefits than a butchering. Cutting off excess fat and meat is excellent for automatizing one's function and body, but sometimes two heads have more processing power than one.
no subject
Unfortunately, he also recognises her skill at processing and handling information, which means....]
So be it.
[But he steps closer and ~looms~]
But keep true to thine word. Should I find myself embroiled within one of your schemes, you'd best hope your head is as worthwhile as you think it to be, for that is all that shall remain of you.
no subject
--but she knows when to push and knows when to give when given such blatant signals. Really, it's like he's a giant neon sign! At least Hassan is an understandable variable, though he may be a Grand Servant. His personality is fairly straightforward.
BB puts her hands on her hips, beaming.]
All right, then it's a deal! BB-chan will be your faithful friend till the end, so please look after me okay?
no subject
I will intervene on your behalf when I see fit.
[After all this is a loose agreement, not a binding contract, and despite BB's nerfs she's still a servant.
Which means he's going to be mostly useful as a prop. Stand next to death and and boast in the hopes everyone else doesn't realise he'd let her get beat up like...80%.]
no subject
Good. Now that we got that out of the way, I think it'd be wise to canvass this new world.
Y'know. Sightseeing~!
