ABOUT: I play too much Final Fantasy XIV and obsess over Tales of Legendia and Arc Rise Fantasia. 90% of my favorite characters are blond/e. Now you know everything there's to know about me.

NAME: Eizen
CANON: Tales of Berseria
INFO: The hapless skipper of a jolly pirate crew, Eizen prizes adventure above all else. His gray morality and severe countenance belie a fiery passion for history that tends to cloud his otherwise sound judgment, and he is an avid collector of antiques. His bad luck is both legendary and contagious. As a spiritual being, he's much older than the average human, but looks like a 30-year-old.
MAGIC: He makes himself stronger, but his luck sucks until something bad happens to reset it. Yay!
CR REQUESTS:

Characters with strong/weak resonance - aka spiritual sensitivity, a pure heart, the works. Eizen is visible in low-frequency worlds and the hub, but he becomes invisible to those with weak resonance in high-frequency worlds, which makes for some poltergeist shenanigans.
Drinking buddies - The fastest way to bond with him is by having a heartfelt conversation over alcohol. Calling Velvet an idiot is optional.
History nerds - His personality does a 180-degree turn here. Please indulge him.
Anyone and everyone - All ages welcome. He's more patient with children, although he speaks to them as he would to adults. For those interested in casual conflict, he respects the decisions of others and expects the same in return; he'll argue for eternity with anyone who disapproves. On a related note, he's good for pushing people to think for themselves.
Victims . . . Eizen is tailed by a curse that brings ill fortune to those around him, including himself. This only kicks in on high-frequency worlds. Also, anyone who makes CR with Edna will definitely have CR with Eizen (he will kill you).

Hi I'm Farrah, I play Dirk, he loves history and sociology and historical sociology and looking at ruins.

alsooooo I've established with Meebo's player that he has strong resonance (because he's... a god... of souls.. technically) but also is often awkwardly malevolent because of that whole issue with self-doubt and self-hate left and right.

i heard his "YOUR OPPONENT IS THE REAPER" so many times in slash beat that i thought i was going to die of secondhand embarrassment. i can't wait to die of firsthand embarrassment in rp by spamming that title.

SO EXCITED TO SEE AN EIZEN. welcome to the game! also wow arc rise fantasia i haven't heard that name in ages. i never played it but i remember really loving the art. (specifically, that cute blonde boy...)

anyway i'm not sure if you've played tox or not but jude absolutely fits the requirements re: strong spiritual resonance and a pure heart. the Purest heart. he'll definitely be able to see eizen.

alf . . . ! arc rise fantasia's story and focus on character development are fairly reminiscent of the tales of style, though the battle system is a unique turn-based system. super fun! notorious dub, alas.

i could talk about the game all day, but then i'd start sounding like eizen on a tangent (oh, no), so i'll spare you.

i have in fact experienced the wonderful evolution of jude's bedhead. that's great to know! i'm looking forward to tagging with him.

eizen!! i'm so happy to see him here, i'm in the middle of my berseria playthrough and i can't believe what a huge nerd he is.

also ello there, i'm mad and i play hibiki kohaku from blazblue and riko sakurauchi from love live and they're not pure or anything (they wish they were)...is this where i sign up for poltergeist shenanigans?

man, i feel you . . . i thought he'd be a closet nerd, but he apparently doesn't know the meaning of shame.

Shiro's of the opinion while Velvet can be an idiot she has a lot of good points, too. Hi there, welcome to the game! It's awesome to see an Eizen around. I have no idea where Shiro fits on the resonance clause. He psychically bonds with a sentient machine?? Did some battling in a mental world??

And feel free to history nerd at him, Eizen. He'll let you do it and even ask questions.

Shiro is truly a master of understanding people . . .

You know, that's a good question. I feel that Shiro's spiritual experiences merit at least some resonance, which doesn't have to be one extreme or the other. If you'd like, we can play with the emphatic nature of a paladin's relationship with their lion in that the bond tends to involve listening. So Shiro could maybe hear Eizen's kind, but not see; see blurs, but not maintain their image; etc. Up to you!

It's day zero and Shiro is Eizen's favorite paladin.

Skylark has high resonance since he's the son of a god spirit-thing. He's also slated to be bullied by Edna, please don't kill him bro

That said Skylark is a dumb teenager who is definitely trying too hard to seem mature, so he'd appreciate being spoken to like an adult.

And I think Roxas here would have pretty good resonance, because KH is ridiculous.

Every time I think of Roxas, I feel bad for him. Time to make his days worse.

Sup Eizen, please push Shirley on her bad life decisions and then maybe she can talk ancient languages and/or history(???) with you. I realized she might ping as malevolent to the Zestiria/Berseria folks though, not sure if that'll be a problem or not!

Eizen is here to give Shirley life advice and tl;dr at her. As for her being possibly malevolent, it's okay by his book, because he sure . . . likes to surround himself with criminals . . .

I'm sorry that I'm so late replying to this! I was on hiatus for the month of December and now I'm slowly starting to catch up with game things.

But, welcome to the game! It's really great to see an Eizen here! I hope that you'll enjoy playing here. ;w; Would it be okay if I went ahead and replied to your IC intro still, or would you like for them to meet up in some other way!
