hub island locations doc!
hey spellbind . . . it's me again . . . .
I made a gdoc to compile some of the locational information in a more organized form! There are sources of food listed there, sources of water, other supplies, and so on. So if you were wondering what on earth your character is eating, wonder no more! (I mean, it's probably boar either way, but.)
Not all of these locations have been discovered ICly--many were first "found" by characters who have now dropped and may not have shared their findings--but the mods have said that these locations can be rediscovered by other characters once some time has passed. For player-discovered locations where the characters are still active (I've tried to note these down, except for the stuff found by Jay's mapping party, which is public knowledge), do try and check in with the player to see whether they want that location to be public knowledge, or to get the chance to share that information themselves! Nike's player is compiling that information into another gdoc, so conversely, if you have a player-discovered location, do crosscheck that sheet and let people know whether it can be public!
Lastly! Jay is organizing another mapping party to scout out the near western side of the island--I'm planning to have them rediscover some locations found by dropped characters, and perhaps they'll find something else, mods willing. There is still some room (especially for characters who have scouting/mapping/wilderness-type expertise) so please do let me know if you'd like your character to be involved! You can assume they got a telepathic message or Jay mentioned it offhand to them or something.

Because he's a Scanner, he can automatically record map data with high accuracy, and it's safe to assume that any data he gathers he would transmit to Jay so he can disseminate it.

...is this the post to comment re: discovering junk once slated for dropped characters? and if so, does it work like, on your sheet the L Cave, slated for discovery by the dropped Jotaro and not yet found by the mapping parties, could still be found?

I don't think there's a formal process for rediscovering the locations found by dropped characters--for the mapping parties, I've just gone through and picked out likely-looking/interesting locations for the characters to find. I think if you like, you can just have Gaelio find the cave again in a thread or offscreen, and change the designation on Nike's sheet to reflect that. But I'm not a mod, so you may want to check with them!
