I'm completely cool with it! At least galra tech isn't weirdly based on grubs. Shiro will have mixed feelings about his arm but that's business as usual for him.

will he like it better if Dirk programs it to play Tetris for him??

I had to think about that for a second. That would actually help and he'd get a laugh out of it. It would remind him of the sillier moments back home.

look if Shiro responds warmly, Shiro will be at risk of getting lots of games installed on that arm of his. DO YOU WANT TO PLAY PONG ON YOUR ARM, SHIRO???
