a mini-plot thing!
HI AGAIN SPELLBIND I'M SORRY FOR SPAMMING YOU
Y'all may remember the ~mysterious island~ above Aiminitas! Previously, characters who can fly (you special snowflakes) went up to the island and discovered, among other things, that most of it is blocked by some sort of magical/electrical barrier that lures people in, then zaps them when they get too close. A lot of characters are curious about this barrier, including Jay, so he is organizing a larger expedition up to the island in order to try a few different barrier-breaking tactics! This will happen on Saturday, or IC Day 50.
Mikleo, Tara-Fay, Moon, and Geir will be flying people up there, with Mikleo, Moon, and Xion providing air during the ocean-faring part of this expedition. I'm estimating they can take around 18-20 people between them, which should hopefully be enough to cover everyone who wants to come. However, priority will be given to people who have a) electricity/barrier-related powers or b) powerful ranged attacks to attack the barrier with. Look, we're running out of ideas.
If you would like to be a part of this, please comment to the post with the character(s) attending, whether they can fly (or would need a slot on dragonback), and any relevant abilities they would try to use on the barrier/island. I will email the mods to let them know what was tried, they will tell us if anything interesting happened, and then we can play out shenanigans on Saturday! (There will be a catch-all network post, and people should also feel free to plot their own logs/network posts.)

✗ Swinging blades
✗ Shooting things (he doesn't own a gun rip)
✗ Running away really fast
✗ Dropping refrigerators (they'd probably just sink and then fall onto the Palai city rip in pieces)
✓ Haphazardly teleporting people, creatures and objects should they decide to climb into a summoned fridge, which may or may not allow them to pass through the barrier, who knows (the downside is that you'd probably get teleported all over the ocean first)
