For anyone who missed the Uvi attack post/needs a catch-up on events that were going on with that plot, I made a plot summary doc! It includes the stuff that Jay and Dirk ICly organized as well as just a general timeline for how the attack went down, when the characters would have become aware of various events, etc. I know a lot happened within a short stretch of time during that event, so I hope this helps anyone who's behind get up to speed!

I also thought we could use this post to talk about what your characters did during the raid. Were they part of the organized efforts, a lone wolf, or just hiding? If you were in the attack post, tell us if they did anything big or notable, and if you weren't, feel free to use this post to handwave/offscreen/plot backthreads with other people!

Jay was obviously helping coordinate the coven's defense plan before and during the attack. During the attack he also fought off a few groups of Uvi (with help) and probably roughed himself up badly enough to need healing at some point. Afterwards, he flew out with Dirk on the recon team and probably attacked some more Uvi, although that thread's still in progress.

Tara-Fay, by contrast, was hiding out the entire time. She's kind of had enough of fighting weird creatures for a while.

Geir asked Dirk some searching philosophical questions and decided to help fight! He ended up mostly keeping the flying fish out of the sky as much as possible, because a giant flying dragon versus giant flying fish seemed like the correct move - you can also handwave him lending a claw to any of the other groups if you'd like. Vern helped him out with that effort through some visual magic. Geir was also encouraged by Minato to throw the giant dead fish into the market square instead of into buildings, so the market square is now full of giant dead fish. Sorry everyone!

He also hypnotized one of the Uvi, tried to convince it that he was an all-powerful being so it should be too scared to attack the Palai again, then got embarrassed at the attempt and stuck it back in the water. So either he accidentally started an Uvi Cult of Geir or that did absolutely nothing whatsoever.

Mikleo was part of the team to follow the Uvi back to base and help transport people through the ocean! He saved most of his magical energy for that, though he did do some healing and fighting beforehand. He worked with the other water/ice users to partially freeze the base and hinder the Uvi from attacking again too immediately.

Vern spent like the entire fight on Geir's back! He is largely not an offensive combatant but he kept blinding anyone who got near Geir which was probably helpful to people on all fronts.

Xion's probably going to want to thank Mikleo for helping her figure out ice at some point after this.

Xion started the raid on the ground trying to defend the Palai as much as possible. She was going to try to use their own water against them, not realizing that they can only use water abilities in close proximity to the ocean layer.

At the end though she joined the group headed back to the Uvi camp (would've needed help getting through the water) and helped with partially freezing the Uvi base.

9S spent the early stages of the fight fending off Uvi attackers and gathering data on those forces. During this time he backed up local medic Jude Mathis, and they helped some of the injured in the process. Once it was time for the reconnaissance squad to assemble, he hitched a ride with Mikleo. From there, events are tbd.

Jude spent the vast majority of his time on standby healing the wounded; a couple of people in particular are Caster and Flynn Scifo, but in general he was taking care of stray Palai and such. In addition, at some point he teamed up with 9S to infiltrate a facility where some Palai were trapped and injured thanks to the Uvi that were hiding out nearby.

I was swamped and didn't make it to the log in a timely fashion, but would be up for backthreading things if anyone wants. For handwavey purposes, Al would have focused on using alchemy to make Palai homes more secure, fighting/setting traps/etc as a sort of last line of defense, and carting off injured Palai and/or coven bros to healers.

Caster mostly hid, but provided some useful distractions when she had to to survive. Also clung to some protective people. Thanks, tanks.

Dirk of course was part of the coordination crew. During the attack fought on the ground level, then was Jay's taxi cab up to the recon place.

Due to time constraints and lacking much in the creativity department on the best way to get Nike involve into the action, she most likely acted on her own -- since what is team work and depending on other people again??? -- by using some of her original powers which include: creating fog/mist, wind gusts (that have potential to slice anything as powerful as steel like swiss cheese but she ain't gonna use that aspect of her power except in destroying weapons), and using an echo effect on her voice (plus not to mention she can amplify her voice to be heard as though she has a microphone 24/7 and can use slight hypnosis).

All in all, Nike was more concern about the Palai whose homes got torn open by the Uvi. She was most likely came to their rescue and acted as a guide to the nearest shelters for them to evacuate to (which most likely than not had her acting as distraction to get the Palai some seconds to run ahead).

If anyone wants to handwave helping her out, rescuing her (because she'll need it after her hour period of singing is over), or momentarily working together with her to combine powers, then I am all for it (since she hasn't fully healed up yet). Only know she cannot summon the rain, summon too overly powerful weather stuff, or summon lightning since she hasn't synchronized with her surroundings yet nor has an official rain partner neither.

Eva mostly hid since not so great physically and he's still learning his power's mechanics. He did use some owls to create distractions and use some stray Palai to safety.

Of course he got his butt saved by Lancer Eliza during it.
