I loved it even more than the first game's OST and dang, that's a good OST too.

Maintenance and medical science: they can live up to their nerd potential. Not to mention it never hurts to have somebody know how they work.

yeah, i played nier and nier:automata back to back and god they're both just so good... so good.

I love Yoko Taro's writing and storytelling philosophy... And NieR is a huge reason why. Drakengard's pretty interesting too, but there's just something about NieR. The characters really seize your heartstrings.

I'm excited to see Jude, myself. Xillia and Xillia 2 were a blast.

yeah, my first yoko taro game was drakengard 3! i really loved it but i was bummed that you didn't get to know the sisters (sans zero) very well without DLC.

i played the original nier SO late but in retrospect i'm glad i played it right before automata. it made certain things (devola and popola) more emotional... cries

Drakengard 3 was a trip. I used to play Cent, if you can believe it. How'd I go from that to this? It will forever remain a mystery. Likewise I wish the DLC was part of the game, though I did enjoy the episodes and the way branching timelines were used.

It was definitely a good way to go; I had a friend work backward and I think some things just wouldn't be the same that way. Seeing it in order means all those references and nods click right when you encounter them.

Good gaming taste, I say ♥ I'm looking forward to seeing Jude in action! Admittedly I followed his thread with 2B, a good read.

OH MY GOD... CENT... that's incredible. i really did love the episodes too, though, especially two's i think? it was so emotional. again, Yoko Taro.

Have you read the novellas too? I loved how complicated Cent was under that obnoxious trivia time. Still terrible, but it's Drakengard, so of course he is. I loved Two, she was too good for that sinful world. Yoko Taro is a gift.

I'm definitely a fan of cute things so I enjoyed it. I hope there will be more cuteness to come!

Okay RNG gave me an odd number (odd 9S, even Jude), so come at me. Best three out of five...my results were three and five, haha.

question! am i allowed to mention 2b or do you guys have a sort of plot planned for their inevitable meeting already? i don't want to intervene on anything by mistake by bringing it up! i was/am also running under the assumption that the tdm thread is game canon, btw, but i think i made that obvious...

They met in the TDM, and also running with that being game canon, so he's met up with 2B to their mutual confusion. That's how 9S has gathered that Jude must have met her since he identified him as an android with that "do all androids wear blindfolds?" question. If he's noticed a trend, he must've seen the only other local YoRHa unit.

I love that it's equal opportunity, not just 2B's outfit getting blown apart. Also did you notice if you stand them both on a ledge they'll peer down together? The details are so good...

I DIDN'T NOTICE THAT... CUTE!!! i played a-e of course but i really want to replay it already. it was just such a good experience. or at the very least i want to hop chapters and go sidequest hunting since i haven't gotten a bunch of trophies!

It became my favorite game, ousting one I'd loved since childhood...kind of wild. But there are so many details, and I'm so keen on the fact that Yoko Taro oversaw all the writing for the side materials, so everything fits together so neatly...

It's a lit nerd's dream.

The sidequests are amazing for their world-building, I highly recommend them. Have you done Amnesia? It's...horrifying, knowing what you do after C/D.
