ABOUT: Grad student, unfortunately into Trauma Center AKA the surgery game that hasn't seen light in eight years. Overanalyzes Tales of series stuff otherwise.

NAME: Shirley Fennes
CANON: Tales of Legendia
INFO: Lonely, awkward teenage human mermaid. Basically a Chosen One type, a job which is currently zero fun and more pressure (and guilt) than Shirley was ever raised to handle. Will do anything for people she cares about or feels responsible for and would absolutely love to be a Normal Girl who likes cute animals and pink and friendship, but has some major trust issues and so is currently trying to limit the number that fall under friendship.

Current status: just got rescued from kidnapping, highly burnt out and highly bitter as a result. She feels closer to the coven after Shehui's everything though, so she's a bit more inclined to associate with people even if she's convinced she can't (won't?) make friends.
MAGIC: Wish-granting, at the cost of passing out for appropriate amounts of time.
CR REQUESTS: Whoo boy.
- F R I E N D S. Shirley's doing her best hedgehog impression in this respect, so people who are willing to spell it out are especially good. Extra bonus for girls around her age (15), though that's by no means a requirement!
- Fellow Chosen One types, for better or worse
- Anybody with water-associated backgrounds or magic
- Anybody willing to encourage self-reflection, which Shirley is desperately afraid of
SHEHUI HOUSING: 11-3, technically, though I'm not sure she's able to go back.

OTHER: Shirley can be an idol too, maybe.

hi! i'm admittedly canon unfamiliar so i might not be a whoooole bunch of help in terms of CR IDEAS but shirley sounds adorable ;A; jade's got cr with jay that i am pretty fond of, so it might be nice if she and shirley could meet! he told her about legendia's...everything... also, so that might be nice to talk about?? jade is a very friendly and outgoing sort, so friendship isn't out of the way, and she's... got interesting circumstances in canon that might make bonding easier on them both? she's seventeen so a little older than shirley but!!

Seventeen is close enough!!!

Jade actually basically said to Jay what Shirley won't let herself believe right now, so that could definitely be a fun point to talk about! For differing versions of fun IC and OOC maybe, but eh that's RP.

I'm definitely into this, but out of curiosity what interesting circumstances were you thinking about? :o I'm canon-familiar for Homestuck so no need to worry about that, haha.

ahh i would be down for that! it sounds fun, jades all about saying things bluntly when she shouldnt too so i am sure shirley will... appreciate that.

THANK GOD mainly i am thinking of all her responsibilities she had as the person settling everything up for their game of sburb with guidance from prospits clouds! she touched on it with kanaya and i would love to explore more of that with people who have gone through A Lot of responsibility weirdness.

I'm sure they'll get along really well.

And ah yeah, I totally forgot about all that (it's been a while) but that'd be really neat to talk about! Shirley hasn't really gotten to talk to anyone about responsibilities so far, so there's a lot of potential in that area.

i'm really enjoying what cr we've been developing so far! jude is quite fond of shirley and only wants the very best for her. here's hoping he can manage to draw out some more self-reflection that leans more to the positive side. shirley's a Good Girl and he wants her to know that.

as for girls around her age, chika is 16! and very cheerful and sociable so i am ALWAYS OPEN TO THAT POSSIBILITY

Are you sure about that, Jude. I'm 100% up for this because Shirley likes Jude and she's impressed by him, and she's also convinced that he's a better person than she is by virtue of...not trying to commit genocide. She's very determinedly ignoring the most obvious solution there, so Jude might be able to help her out there haha.

Also PLEASE BE FRIENDS WITH SHIRLEY CHIKA. Shirley absolutely needs more of those in her life.

okuni's 18...... but still youthful and technically a Teen so time for some fun girl times!!!

She's naturally a punk and provocative, but also 100% for self-reflection of any kind (especially the kind that makes one more at peace with themselves because surprise Okuni is only a punk 70% of the time... and all for people becoming/learning to be happy!!!). she's also KIND of a chosen type.... in that she was born with a family duty she takes very seriously + a curse that she might fall under if she's unlucky

I'm in! Duty sounds like a good topic (and that curse sounds worrisome!), and fun girl times are always good. What's Okuni up to right now?

Normal girl friends are very good and important! Shirley doesn't really get chances to be cute with people much, so it'd be great for them to get together. What's Riko up to right now?

her friend was one of the prisoners, so she'll mostly be trying to cheer her up a little because she couldn't do anything to help with the jailbreak. honestly if she heard that shirley was one of the prisoners she'd try to cheer her up too somehow?? they might not know each other but she wants to help

Very sorry for the late reply!!! RL kind of knocked me on my butt for a while, though I'm getting back into the game now.

Shirley's definitely withdrawing a bit after the jailbreak, which means that she could definitely use a cheer-up. She's pretty much bumming around and living in a leftover tent for a while, so anyplace they could run into each other?

(Also fun fact: Shirley's been an idol in two different collabs, in two different mobile games, because the franchise has too many of those. Ah, the Tales machine...)
