TDMs can be used for anyone interested in the game and/or testing out a new muse.

Test Drive samples are encouraged to be used for your application sample, though they are NOT a requirement.

Feel free to use one prompt, multiple prompts or make up your own!

These threads can be considered game canon upon game opening if you so choose.

Telepathy and magic can be used at any point in time on the TDM, from Prompt A to your wildcard prompt. A specific prompt exists, however, that makes sure all characters have an equal chance to use this mechanic within the TDM. You're encouraged to have characters use telepathy and their magic accidentally or even purposefully on any TDM prompt.

If you aren't set on your character's power yet or want to try out a few, you're still able to use the test drive. Maybe your character is a late bloomer and hasn't fully unlocked their intuitive drive yet. In the case of multiple powers, only prompts that contain the power you choose for your application will count as potential game canon threads.

While only one character can be apped or reserved during a cycle, feel free to post with more than one character if you like! This is for those who are uncertain of their first choice or who would like to try out different characters within the setting.

IMPORTANT: This world is low-frequency. No canon powers or abilities are allowed! Also check out the setting information for more info about Shehui.

IMPORTANT: This TDM won't be canon! It's a little dicey in-game right now, which isn't exactly fair for in-game players who are currently trapped, as well as out-of-game hopefuls who want to get as much CR potential as possible. Think of this as an alternate timeline.

You blink and that's all it takes. At first, the picture doesn't come in clear, like you're waiting for a screen to fully load -- more aptly, it's like you're waiting for a camera to focus so you can find image clarity. Before you happened to rapidly close your eyes and open them, your life was normal...well, normal for you, anyway. Fighting an alien, making a quesadilla, dying. And then that blurry picture suddenly takes over. There's a lot to take in here -- you feel weird, your surroundings are weird. Everything is just weird. For starters, there's that new piece of jewelry inserted in the space above your chest. That certainly wasn't there before you opened your eyes. A ▢ Or, perhaps, that isn't the weirdest thing you're experiencing right now. Instead of just being magicked away, blinking your eyes open to stare at a video game or random tree, you blearily awaken from a sleepy daze in a bed that isn't your own. It does, however, belong to someone else...someone who is right next to you. Do they see you first, or are you the first to be aware of your new Shehui sleeping situation? B ▢ Other new arrivals aren't so lucky as to arrive in the warm embrace of an apartment's bed. It's currently raining in Shehui, and because of the current post-winter temperature, the rain is certainly cold. You're now in the middle of a busy street, out in the open -- no umbrella to your name. You have the opportunity to grab some shelter underneath an awning or run into a building. Or will someone take pity on you? Or are you not bothered by a sudden, frigid downpour? C ▢ Shehui is looking to celebrate an upcoming holiday -- Yeunai. Something of a bonding holiday that celebrates a variety of relationships, Shehui residents are really into this consumer, capitalist bonanza. On certain Shehui streets are mats that read the ID data of those that stand on them. Whether or not you'd like to take part in this little shindig, a nearby machine will random spit out some data about you and another person on the same long mat. (Need some guidance? Here's a love calculator!) That's a good ice-breaker, right? D ▢ Despite Shehui's distrust of magic, faux magic isn't a big deal. In fact, there's currently a showcase of street performers making money with their craft. Located around Shehui's famed tower, there's a lot of room for some real magic here. Want to take yours for a spin? It's easy enough to simply say you can't reveal your secrets when you're asked about a certain talent. E ▢ With how prominent cell phones are in Shehui, a lot of new and old arrivals have them by now -- you, newbie, might have already picked one up! Despite not having anyone on your contact list yet, you do seem to be getting quite a few messages...though they aren't going to your cell phone. Instead, they're being telepathically broadcast into your head, or even before your eyes! On the opposite end of the spectrum, it's very likely that you're transmitting your own accidental telepathic broadcast...but what are you saying, exactly? F ▢ Another fun activity -- Chips! is always open! Today they're hosting their regular games, but there's also a SongWars competition, including a huge stage and everything. While you may not know the words to these strange, alien pop songs, the crowd may turn in your favour if you put on a good show regardless. What do you win for besting your champion? A nice plastic trophy and a big Chocorrone. G ▢ For some people, the whole "kidnapped to another world with new magic and cell phones and shit" is actually...kind of a downer. For those of you who want to enjoy the evening and maybe meditate for a while, there are plenty of parks with benches that allow you to sit and think. You may not want company, but it may find you regardless... H ▢ Wildcard! How will your character react to this strange world?

[ Amanda has no idea what Ahsoka's view of witches would be, but clearly she's not going to burn her at the stake. ]

No, I mean, we wouldn't even get into the relationship stage!

[Honestly, she doesn't believe her on the whole witch front since... Amanda's clearly human.]

This thing is completely fake and this just proves it.

[Except casual flings are totally allowed, but it's just... not something she's considered.]

Look, this thing is calculating romantic potential, right? Love? Kinda goes against the whole "no emotional attachments" deal I'm working with.

[ Amanda's got a very succinct assessment of Jedi teachings. ]

Not like any other Jedi are here, right?

Well, not that I know of, but-!

[She can't sense them at all. Anyone. Truthfully, she feels entirely alone.]

But that doesn't mean I'm going to ignore a whole lifetime of teachings! And it's not boring! [Except she definitely thinks it is sometimes. But only sometimes!] It's incredibly important.

[ Not like she can just sense people like usual, right? Gotta feel weird. ]

If you say so. Still, if you at least wanna try letting loose... just to see what it's like...

This is the time to do it.

[She says very matter-of-factly.]

I'm not interested in toying around with stuff like that. It'd just end badly for everyone involved.

[ Amanda frowns for a moment, before shrugging. ]

Well that's up to you then. 's long as it's what you want for yourself.

Of course it's what I want! It's... you know, my whole life.

[She glances away, feeling that same loneliness again.]

I don't know what I'd do if I wasn't a Jedi. I mean, you said you were a witch, right? And with everything else going on, I guess I've gotta believe you on that- but, it's a part of who you are, isn't it? You would've introduced yourself differently otherwise.

[ Amanda thinks about that. ]

I guess you'd miss your other Jedi.

[ And no matter how angry Amanda gets about a... lot of the stuff related to being a witch... ]

Caught me there. Yeah. There's a lot I've done, a lot of people I've met, that I never would've without being a witch. That's all made it important to me too.

So you do get it. It's just... it's complicated.

[Ahsoka lets out a big sigh.]

But it's also easy. Is that weird? Honestly, it's just something I don't think about. So... don't worry about it. It doesn't involve you anyways.

[Wait, that sounds kinda mean. It's true, but?]

Uh anyways! I'm guessing you're not a witch from Dathomir...

Life's too damn complicated, god.

[ She just wants to hang out and fly on a broom and piss off snobby jerks. Which, yeah, you kinda need this whole complicated mess of life for there to be stuck-up people for her to piss off, probably. ]
