TDMs can be used for anyone interested in the game and/or testing out a new muse.

Test Drive samples are encouraged to be used for your application sample, though they are NOT a requirement.

Feel free to use one prompt, multiple prompts or make up your own!

These threads can be considered game canon upon game opening if you so choose.

Telepathy and magic can be used at any point in time on the TDM, from Prompt A to your wildcard prompt. A specific prompt exists, however, that makes sure all characters have an equal chance to use this mechanic within the TDM. You're encouraged to have characters use telepathy and their magic accidentally or even purposefully on any TDM prompt.

If you aren't set on your character's power yet or want to try out a few, you're still able to use the test drive. Maybe your character is a late bloomer and hasn't fully unlocked their intuitive drive yet. In the case of multiple powers, only prompts that contain the power you choose for your application will count as potential game canon threads.

While only one character can be apped or reserved during a cycle, feel free to post with more than one character if you like! This is for those who are uncertain of their first choice or who would like to try out different characters within the setting.

IMPORTANT: This world is low-frequency. No canon powers or abilities are allowed! Also check out the setting information for more info about Shehui.

IMPORTANT: This TDM won't be canon! It's a little dicey in-game right now, which isn't exactly fair for in-game players who are currently trapped, as well as out-of-game hopefuls who want to get as much CR potential as possible. Think of this as an alternate timeline.

You blink and that's all it takes. At first, the picture doesn't come in clear, like you're waiting for a screen to fully load -- more aptly, it's like you're waiting for a camera to focus so you can find image clarity. Before you happened to rapidly close your eyes and open them, your life was normal...well, normal for you, anyway. Fighting an alien, making a quesadilla, dying. And then that blurry picture suddenly takes over. There's a lot to take in here -- you feel weird, your surroundings are weird. Everything is just weird. For starters, there's that new piece of jewelry inserted in the space above your chest. That certainly wasn't there before you opened your eyes. A ▢ Or, perhaps, that isn't the weirdest thing you're experiencing right now. Instead of just being magicked away, blinking your eyes open to stare at a video game or random tree, you blearily awaken from a sleepy daze in a bed that isn't your own. It does, however, belong to someone else...someone who is right next to you. Do they see you first, or are you the first to be aware of your new Shehui sleeping situation? B ▢ Other new arrivals aren't so lucky as to arrive in the warm embrace of an apartment's bed. It's currently raining in Shehui, and because of the current post-winter temperature, the rain is certainly cold. You're now in the middle of a busy street, out in the open -- no umbrella to your name. You have the opportunity to grab some shelter underneath an awning or run into a building. Or will someone take pity on you? Or are you not bothered by a sudden, frigid downpour? C ▢ Shehui is looking to celebrate an upcoming holiday -- Yeunai. Something of a bonding holiday that celebrates a variety of relationships, Shehui residents are really into this consumer, capitalist bonanza. On certain Shehui streets are mats that read the ID data of those that stand on them. Whether or not you'd like to take part in this little shindig, a nearby machine will random spit out some data about you and another person on the same long mat. (Need some guidance? Here's a love calculator!) That's a good ice-breaker, right? D ▢ Despite Shehui's distrust of magic, faux magic isn't a big deal. In fact, there's currently a showcase of street performers making money with their craft. Located around Shehui's famed tower, there's a lot of room for some real magic here. Want to take yours for a spin? It's easy enough to simply say you can't reveal your secrets when you're asked about a certain talent. E ▢ With how prominent cell phones are in Shehui, a lot of new and old arrivals have them by now -- you, newbie, might have already picked one up! Despite not having anyone on your contact list yet, you do seem to be getting quite a few messages...though they aren't going to your cell phone. Instead, they're being telepathically broadcast into your head, or even before your eyes! On the opposite end of the spectrum, it's very likely that you're transmitting your own accidental telepathic broadcast...but what are you saying, exactly? F ▢ Another fun activity -- Chips! is always open! Today they're hosting their regular games, but there's also a SongWars competition, including a huge stage and everything. While you may not know the words to these strange, alien pop songs, the crowd may turn in your favour if you put on a good show regardless. What do you win for besting your champion? A nice plastic trophy and a big Chocorrone. G ▢ For some people, the whole "kidnapped to another world with new magic and cell phones and shit" is actually...kind of a downer. For those of you who want to enjoy the evening and maybe meditate for a while, there are plenty of parks with benches that allow you to sit and think. You may not want company, but it may find you regardless... H ▢ Wildcard! How will your character react to this strange world?

[ she pauses to watch the street show. izetta's expression during the whole thing is a little hard to read, admittedly, like she isn't sure what to think about what's happening. actually, on closer inspection, she actually looks mildly uncomfortable.

It was a pretty big shock.

[ she's just going to assume cellphones normally send telepathic messages now. this is fine. ]

[ His world has traditional stuff because he lives in a traditional house... And mini computer projectors used by foxes. Hm. ]

They aren't even all that good at fake magic.

[ that's an interesting choice of words. then again, magic seems to be the norm here, so izetta doesn't think too much on it. ]

The people watching seems to be pretty entertained though, don't they?

Probably just aren't used to it. And it's not like these guys are untalented but it's not anything special.

Anyways Amanda at least has the sense to say all of this quietly. ]

[ Amanda grinned over at Izetta - definitely another one for the coven she hadn't met yet. ]

Sometimes there aren't really reasons for these things. Sometimes it's just... fear? [ she shrugs, frowning. ]

Safe to say people are good at being afraid of things for virtually no reason.

I'm, um, new, so I'm still not too sure of what's going on...

Lots of things are going on. Wouldn't be surprised if the government's stoking up all this fear.

I'm sure if they practice more, they'll be better at their tricks.

[ chika is more than a little startled to wake up next to another person, herself, but she doesn't even have a chance to get a good look at her before she's toppling over. well then.

chika stands up and hovers over her, a worried frown tugging at her lips. ]

Hey! Hey, are you alright?

[ she apologizes after tumbling off a bed, of course. ]

I'm fine. I startled you?

[ this is such an odd situation, but chika is sort of an odd person, so it's not a huge deal to her. ]

Don't be sorry! You're the one that fell! Here, let me help you up.

[ chika extends a hand down for her to grasp. ]

I'm Chika, and I have no idea why we were sleeping in the same bed. What's your name?

[ spoken cheerfully, with a sunny smile, like she's talking about something as simple as the weather. ]
