You blink and that's all it takes. At first, the picture doesn't come in clear, like you're waiting for a screen to fully load -- more aptly, it's like you're waiting for a camera to focus so you can find image clarity. Before you happened to rapidly close your eyes and open them, your life was normal...well, normal for you, anyway. Fighting an alien, making a quesadilla, dying. And then that blurry picture suddenly takes over. There's a lot to take in here -- you feel weird, your surroundings are weird. Everything is just weird. For starters, there's that new piece of jewelry inserted in the space above your chest. That certainly wasn't there before you opened your eyes.
B ▢ Other new arrivals aren't so lucky as to arrive in the warm embrace of an apartment's bed. It's currently raining in Shehui, and because of the current post-winter temperature, the rain is certainly cold. You're now in the middle of a busy street, out in the open -- no umbrella to your name. You have the opportunity to grab some shelter underneath an awning or run into a building. Or will someone take pity on you? Or are you not bothered by a sudden, frigid downpour? C ▢ Shehui is looking to celebrate an upcoming holiday -- Yeunai. Something of a bonding holiday that celebrates a variety of relationships, Shehui residents are really into this consumer, capitalist bonanza. On certain Shehui streets are mats that read the ID data of those that stand on them. Whether or not you'd like to take part in this little shindig, a nearby machine will random spit out some data about you and another person on the same long mat. (Need some guidance? Here's a love calculator!) That's a good ice-breaker, right? D ▢ Despite Shehui's distrust of magic, faux magic isn't a big deal. In fact, there's currently a showcase of street performers making money with their craft. Located around Shehui's famed tower, there's a lot of room for some real magic here. Want to take yours for a spin? It's easy enough to simply say you can't reveal your secrets when you're asked about a certain talent. E ▢ With how prominent cell phones are in Shehui, a lot of new and old arrivals have them by now -- you, newbie, might have already picked one up! Despite not having anyone on your contact list yet, you do seem to be getting quite a few messages...though they aren't going to your cell phone. Instead, they're being telepathically broadcast into your head, or even before your eyes! On the opposite end of the spectrum, it's very likely that you're transmitting your own accidental telepathic broadcast...but what are you saying, exactly? F ▢ Another fun activity -- Chips! is always open! Today they're hosting their regular games, but there's also a SongWars competition, including a huge stage and everything. While you may not know the words to these strange, alien pop songs, the crowd may turn in your favour if you put on a good show regardless. What do you win for besting your champion? A nice plastic trophy and a big Chocorrone. G ▢ For some people, the whole "kidnapped to another world with new magic and cell phones and shit" is actually...kind of a downer. For those of you who want to enjoy the evening and maybe meditate for a while, there are plenty of parks with benches that allow you to sit and think. You may not want company, but it may find you regardless... H ▢ Wildcard! How will your character react to this strange world? |

Essentially, yes, although I don't know which between the two it is.
[Or if it's something else entirely. A separate planet seems feasible enough when the universe is far larger than they could ever expect to know, but given how many coven members come from places with actual magic and whatnot, a different planet doesn't seem to justify having completely different laws of physics and space. But again, there isn't really much left for them back on Earth. While it's concerning that they don't really know how they got here or how to get back, the details of it have never been her top concern.
Besides, she's alive again. She can't complain much about her situation.]
No. 9S arrived at the same time I did, and A2 appeared a few months later. [And given that she knows at least the basics of how things had gone down between the two of them—] They're both fine. We all are.

[Oh wow, almost all of his companions are here. He's going to need a second to think about how that changes things.]
...Analysis: Unit 2B's repeated use of the word 'months' is troubling. It suggests that I am missing quite a lot of time, or that a form of time-dilation is occurring.
What is the last thing you experienced before arriving here?

[And then she woke up with the coven, albeit on a different world than Shehui. It was a little disorienting, to say the least.]
I don't know how to explain the time differences though. 9S and I came at the same time, and he remembers events that happened after my death. It's the same for A2, but she didn't arrive until later.

[There's a long pause after that. He's honestly not sure what to do next.
Pod 042 has got plenty of data about what happened after that, of course, but he has to be mindful of 2B's mental state. 9S certainly didn't react well to certain information, after all - it follows that 2B wouldn't react especially well to knowledge regarding the true purposes of YoRHA. It's probably better to keep certain things to himself for now.]
Unit 2B was suffering from the effects of a Logic Virus upon her death.
Proposal: Allow Pod 042 to scan for traces of virus, to be certain that it was not carried with her into Shehui.

Sure. That sounds like a good idea.
