[WEEKLY UPDATE | JANUARY 6TH]

OOC NOTES

▢ Happy 2018 guys! Hopefully your new year is going just swell -- this is also a great time to say hello to the new players and characters that were just accepted. Howdy!

▢ In case you missed it, the new world information is live! There’s a whole bunch of good information there, so make sure to keep it in mind when playing stuff out in Shehui. This is copypasted from last time, but doop doop easily linked new world info.

▢ The TDM has been posted! If you want to test out some characters, or tag around and welcome potential applicants, head over here!

▢ Based on the giveaway plurk from last week, the winners of the 2 month paid points are mapsio, armigers and allconsumed!. Your paid points will be sent sometime tomorrow, but thank you to everyone for spreading the love! You're all super gr8!!

▢ New characters will be added to the AC sheet this weekend too, but old blood can already start posting for January! Remember: full AC is necessary for everyone. This means whatever AC you would normally need to provide, that stands for January. AKA normal rules; get your AC in!

IC EVENTS

▢ The IC Intro for January will be put up shortly after this is posted!

▢ First and foremost, a couple player plots are going to go underway/have gone underway recently. Look out for those and the information that players post about them! It's safe to say that they all involve adding suspicion to the coven, so for those characters who are just trying to live their normal life, you have those buttholes to thank for making your lives difficult. If you're into anarchy, however, now may be the time to ramp things up!

▢ Because of the information brought about by the monitor question, the suspicion on the coven as magic users is essentially confirmed. Now, while this is somewhat concerning to the Shehui government, using magic is what they care about most. Is anyone outright banned yet? No -- but there are posters going up around town that have a very artistically accurate picture of the coven signet on them. They instruct everyone to try and avoid or watch those who carry this signet as much as possible, which may make life difficult for coven members. Try to hide yours if you want to avoid harsh stares or curious questions during your daily outings!

▢ This information has also brought about...something. What that something is is left to the imagination, but on the 12, all coven members will experience extreme migraines and signet burning -- then suddenly their telepathy is gone. Along with it goes their ability to ping someone, easily understand other languages via translation and all telepathic means of communication go kaput. This isn't just a one day occurrence, either. This telepathic brownout lasts from the 12th through the 15th, when things suddenly return to normal gradually.

▢ For those who want to keep clear track of things, this marks the 6th week in Shehui. This means there are two free weeks left, plus the one free week given to characters after the explosion disaster. Three weeks...can Qri be found in time? Will the coven magic away before they're expelled? Time will tell!

PROMPTS

▢ Despite the coven's persona non grata status, the wish granting festival is still going strong in Shehui! On the 10th, a post will go up (OOC/IC format hasn't officially been decided yet!) that will allow characters to participate by offering up talismans with their own wishes on them. Other characters will have the opportunity to grant them, with anonymity available for both wishers and wish granters, and even others in Shehui can help to grant these via mod response! Feel free to post big wishes, tiny wishes -- see what happens, you never know!

▢ Some coven members who are new to the work force or who have lower level jobs will find that their work opportunities are quickly drying up. However, meanial jobs are constantly looking for new hires. The job board this week is filled with jobs like "trash collector," "street sweeper" and other seemingly degrading jobs, if you're willing to do them for some spare credits!

IMPORTANT DATES

▢ Keep track of the calendar here!
