[WEEKLY UPDATE | DECEMBER 30TH]

OOC NOTES

▢ The holidays are over...thank goodness! A sincere apology from the mod team to you guys for slowness and spotty responses -- modding on top of family obligations, illness, holiday planning and cleanup, also having RP obligations and work is a lot, but the worst of it is over. The Snitch Squad post was supposed to go up yesterday but didn't because of one mod travelling and another being at work or sick all day (which is also while this is up today, travelling/sickness makes you crazy tired). Most of the to-do list has been gone through, but messages/PPs and a comb through of everything else will happen tomorrow. Now we can all go back to our regularly scheduled plotting, shitposting and gay tags.

▢ In case you missed it, the new world information is live! There’s a whole bunch of good information there, so make sure to keep it in mind when playing stuff out in Shehui. This is copypasted from last time, but doop doop easily linked new world info.

▢ The TDM has been posted! If you want to test out some characters, or tag around and welcome potential applicants, head over here!

▢ Speaking of the TDM, reserves are also open! Tell your friends, tell your spouses, tell your pets and loved ones.

▢ As a holiday gesture from us mods to players, we're hosting a giveaway over on plurk! It's going to run through Janaury 5th, so you still have time to nominate people. You have to have Plurk (which 99% of you do) to nominate people, but the people you nominate don't have to have Plurk since it's journal based.

GET YOUR AC IN! It's halved for everyone this month, and new characters only need to submit one thread, no matter the length. Also, if you're on hiatus for December, no matter the length, it'll count as a full hiatus. This won't happen next month, though, so you'll need to have regular AC in January! Also, a plurk will go up tomorrow calling out those who haven't posted yet, with PMs going out to those who aren't on Plurk.

IC EVENTS

▢ If you're curious about what Shehui thinks about the strange commotion on Sunsu, you'll find out this week. On January 3rd, the entire apartment complex goes on lockdown early in the morning. If your character is out at work, too bad, so sad -- not only is the entire building locked down, individual rooms are locked as well. A monitor will make his rounds that morning, individually interviewing citizens. While they wait, they can hang out with their roomies -- there will be a log with top level comments for each room, with roommate interaction encouraged. Don't worry -- there's also the potential for telepathy if your character wants to gossip or info share with those outside your character's own room.

▢ What is the monitor asking? He'll be interested in where you were on Sunsu, as well as more in-depth questions about your character's knowledge of magic. He'll also be interested in your signet -- how much they tell him is up to you, but there will be a thread where you can report your character's answer, either important or anarchy related. These interviews will be private, and declining will result in a system flag -- not that characters know that, but they can assume. Also, monitors may reference information provided by the survey previously submitted OR asked why they didn't fill it out.

▢ Hadan is the week-long tradition of mourning in Shehui, and it begins on January 1st. During this week, all the buildings are covered in flowers. At the beginning of the week, everything is very bleak and somber with some businesses closed for a respective day of grief. As the week progresses, more and more flowers appear with talismans and signs promoting the new year. The week after is when the real interactive stuff begins, with a wish-granting festival!

▢ For those who are observant, they'll notice that their credits aren't depleted by the usual Shehui rent amount. What this means to characters may differ, but after the monitor discussion, it can be thought that it has something to do with the incident.

PROMPTS

▢ A promptless week -- you have a log and the IC intros coming to set you up for January activity, so prepare for those on your plate.

IMPORTANT DATES

▢ Keep track of the calendar here! January IC days will be added tomorrow.
