hi everyone!!!

so chelsea kind of hit the nail on the head with her previous post, and I don't want to sound like a broken record (even if I'm 100% just following her example rn) but I will also be dropping from the game!

I want to thank everyone who I got to play with for sure - I really adored this game and I felt at home for the first time in a while, and while there are definitely circumstances leading to where we are now, I want to thank everyone for the time, effort, energy, and patience as we tried to wade through it all.

I did really want this game to pick back up, but with the lack of communication despite our efforts, it's incredibly disheartening to be stalled out like this. :c

you are more than welcome to add me on plurk (~disarmingly) or discord (dai#3757)! and I hope we'll have a chance to keep in touch.

Hi, guys! I figured an OOC post on my part is deserved for the folks who stuck it out, because a silent drop post isn't really what y'all deserve. That, and I believe the playerbase deserves some transparency!

As most of you know, I was selected to be a helper mod! I received a notice from the HM over one week again of my acceptance and that I would receive instructions within 24 hours. That instruction never arrived. I PM'd the HM with (1) asking for instructions and (2) to file a player complaint concerning activity that had been happening on the anon comms and have received no response. To be clear, I did receive a PM from the player I complained about explaining their punishment they received, but I have received no word from the mod as either (1) a player or (2) a member of the future mod team. I don't consider that an answering of a complaint. Further, new players have still not been accepted into the comms (including my own new character), and that's honestly fairly indicative of a problem.

And, to be fair to the past experiences of recent hardship on the mod's part, I pinged the same private Plurk again with a warning that I would be dropping if I did not receive an immediate response, and I am keeping to my word.

I am sorry that this had to happen! I honestly did volunteer to help the game and, contrary to anon comm activity, I genuinely do want to help. I love this premise and I love the community, and I want to shove the game forward and recruit new people. However, I'm not going to wait around for permission to do so, and the lack of response on a player complaint has left me somewhat disenchanted with the experience. Should Spellbind survive on, I'll consider returning with a revamp. For now, I'm moving on.

If you are not following me on plurk but wish to do so, you can find me @ protestations, or hit me up on Discord at protestations#7331. I am planning on TDM'ing Roy (and likely Percy!) at a CRAU game in order to keep what memories he has of Spellbind, because I genuinely did enjoy my time here. I'm really happy I've met the friends I have here and I hope to thread with you all in the future! I am also totally down for PSLs. :)

See you all later!

- Chelsea.
