Icons and written text don't always give a clear impression of a character. That's what this meme is for! Describe what your character is like in person. What is their body type? Do they have any distinctive markings? Do they have an accent or unique kind of voice? Any interesting type of body language? Dirk Strider Height; The giraffe friend. I don't know how height works. Weight; I know how weight works relative to height even less! Visual; Lanky, muscled from stupid training hobbies. Orange eyes, ridiculous anime hair. Perpetual scalene triangle shades. He looks a little older than his age, which is partly his demeanour but partly his physicality. He has this awful tattoo that really does have jpeg artefacts on it. He loves that tattoo. It is of deep cultural and personal significance. Fashion; Terrible Dirk tends to dress casual. He prefers his shirts with a hat on them. Sometimes, he wears terrible red-and-blue boots. Mostly it's slacks and a t-shirt or tank top. He likes fingerless gloves and especially uses them when he's working on something mechanical. Demeanour; Imagine a teaspoon. Now put sunglasses on it. There, you have Dirk. He is not especially emotive, and his relaxed stance is one of perpetual battle-readiness. Neither his face nor his body tend to be particularly expressive of his mood. He simply doesn't telegraph much, not out of a conscious choice as much as for lack of being in the habit of it. Sound; A low-in-the-throat voice. Most of the time, it's pretty quiet and doesn't vary much in terms of tone. His accent is mostly the General American of the television he grew up on, with slight, emulated Houston/Texan notes that come out in dropping a 'g' now and then. Smell; The ocean, or sometimes robot grease. He showers a lot so generally he smells fresh and clean. Etc; Dirk doesn't have psychic shields per se, but his mind is 'so dense' that even magical lollipops can't affect him. His aspect is the heart or soul, or the sense of self. That makes his self hard to alter or effect. As a God Tier Prince of Heart, Dirk is kicking around assorted semi-magical abilities: soul-sucking, the ability to fly, conditional immortality, etc. He should generally read as containing a fair bit of magical energy there.
