OOC NOTES

▢ Applications opened yesterday, so if you're looking to apply then you better get your apps in! They close at 11:59 PM EST on the 5th, and the OOC M&G will go up right after like usual. Also remember, apps are processed after they close (this should all be on the app page but just for easy access).

▢ The TDM is still active for this round. Also, starting with this AC cycle, TDM responses from existing game characters will count for bonus AC. This should help promote supporting potential characters on the TDM -- just remember they don't count for actual, stay-in-the-game activity.

▢ AC was great this month with no idles or failed ACs! Let's keep up the trend for September.

▢ As a note about bonus AC, it's judged on a percentage. Several incentives are created based on how many characters have bonus AC submitted based on 25, 50, 75 and potentially 100 percent of the game. The more characters that submit bonus AC, the "better" or more substantial the IC results will be. This will make more sense when you read the IC notes. These IC results won't always be the same, nor will they be revealed the week after AC is processed, but the percentage does have an effect on the game that swings positively.

▢ Another note about hiatuses -- to avoid confusion about whether or not you need to post half AC or if you have AC waived if you post a lengthy hiatus, your hiatus will count towards the month in which a majority of it falls in. So if you post a two week hiatus with 10 days in September but 4 days in October, you do get to post half AC and this will apply to September AC, NOT October AC. If you happen to have a perfect 7/7 or 10+/10+ split for your hiatus, you can choose the month for which it applies. If the entirety of the hiatus is within one calendar month, you don't have to worry! Also, if you have any questions about your hiatus, you can always PM the mod account before you post. Also, if you know you'll be hiatusing during AC's closing then it's wise to have plans for someone else to post your AC for you -- it's a sheet so there's no problem with posting links for friends if they can't make it to the computer!

▢ A quick apology -- last week's OOC post accidentally had the email notifs turned off so replies were a little late. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused! As a note, if you don't hear a response within 3 days tops, feel free to poke the mod plurk or pester the mod account somewhere just in case a snaffu like this happened somewhere.

▢ Finally, the previously-moved game poll has been moved AGAIN, oops. Don't worry, no criticism is being dodged. There isn't a set date for it now, but it will be after the first world wraps up. This is so it can be open while everyone is ICly on the hub world, notes about the world can be taken into consideration and then this information can be used to help make the next world better if necessary! This will be added to the calendar once the official return date is finalized in the next week.

IC EVENTS

▢ The Uvi that are still left have gone back into the ocean by now. The population of the Palai has been reduced significantly, though the coven worked diligently to save as many as possible. Thanks to bonus AC, more Palai have been saved and the Uvi left any and all Palai eggs in tact thanks to Palai barricading their nurseries. Their species will live to see another day! The Palai are certainly conflicted -- while they're mourning and dealing with the bodies the Uvi spared taking up to the ocean, their hormonal mating season is still going on until the 4th and they also have to rebuild what the Uvi have destroyed.

▢ On the 4th, a log will go up focusing on the rebuilding of Aimintas. The Palai will have been doing this during the time between now and the log, though this will be a focused log for players to use who want to continue helping the Palai rebuild their city. Thank goodness for magic since it can make this a lot easier!

▢ Some Palai eggs, despite being spared the fate of death, are completely orphaned -- both or all three of their parents have been killed by Uvi. Palai have gathered these orphaned eggs and will divvy them up among childless Palai couples and thruples. However, they do offer these eggs to coven members -- the Palai believe that the coven can protect their children and create familial bonds with them. These eggs will be given to the coven members with the understanding that they'll care for them forever -- though OOCly, this can either be as long as the coven stays in Aimintas OR you can commit to being a permanent Palai parent throughout their worlds. There are 16 eggs up for grabs, and you can claim one of them here! These eggs won't hatch until the 11th so you'll be egg-sitting for a while.

▢ Other new coven members were milling around Aimintas late last month, and more permanent members will be arriving on the 6th! This will be the typical new member mingle log that goes up every app cycle.

▢ Something intriging will also happen later in the week -- there will be a surprise post about this on the 7th! Stay tuned for this and what it holds~
