[feeding them could work. it beats the alternative of doing nothing and being overpowered by teeny lizard people. who would've thought something so small could prove to be so formidable an enemy?]

There may be a storage area of sorts with their food. I doubt a building that houses so many children would lack one.

[babies need a lot of food. since these all look like healthy and energetic --if too much so-- lizard children then that means they had to get food from somewhere.]
