while enraptured by ocean-sky, kotori took some steps forward, trying to get a good sense for how far the ocean extended. but before she could get much farther away, her shoulder struck the caravan's side.]

[oops. jolted from her reverie, she went to rub her shoulder, but found she was unable to pull it from the solid wood.]

but the urge to entertain ran deep. managing to get the younger palai to stop playing with her ponytail, kotori smoothed her skirt and managed a simple phrase.]
