PLAYER PLOT/INTEREST CHECK

Hi!

So basically, Percival here is very interested in investigating Shehui — its system, government, anti-magic bias, and ban policy. What exactly happens to those who have been banished? Let's find out! He's currently employed as security for the hospital, a position he uses for both pay and as a means of getting something akin to insider info. What I'm getting at here is that ideally, I'd like for him to find other people interested in getting the scoop, be it the result of righteous indignation or plain curiosity.

To put it simply: rebels. Who wants to see what's up, who doesn't like it, and so forth. I would love to conduct a player plot centered around uh, snooping around and causing a bit of trouble! But I want to gauge how many people would be interested and what other peoples' characters are currently thinking and the like before I try to start and plan something for these coming two months.

INTERESTED... despite upcoming hiatus.

I haven't decided where Gaelio's security at yet. Maybe like, the equivalent of Disney HQ. Also have asked whether multiple jobs are possible, and intending at the three week mark to move him into the military profession (it was listed on the website, also asked if that actually exists on Shuhei and how it looks).

DIRK IS INTERESTED but i'm not exaaactly sure how it'll pan down since he does have people he wants to be reliable and around for (and may have more). BUT INTERESTED.

JAY IS DEFINITELY INTERESTED cautiously, yeah, because he's cautious by nature, but definitely interested in peeling back what's really going on with this city. I think I will have him take up data entry and then clerical work for the Shehui government or some major corporation as a means of gaining info, assuming that passes muster with the mods?

Terezi might also be interested (and she's already joked about getting banned) but more casually/she's a little weary of irons-in-the-fire-ing atm, so someone would have to twist her arm a little to get her more actively involved

I would like to volunteer Nike (and her Palai child, Airis).

She is curious about the new world. After learning a little about Qri's purpose and having witnessed most of the last world, she is curious about the new setting. I have planned for her to explore the city on the first 3 days of her stay, then she is going to begin volunteering in helping manage parks, spending time with the elderly, and litter pick up. In the first week, she'll begin to work as a walking delivery girl (who will learn to ride a bike in this world, make my words). All of this with the purpose of learning more about the people while exploring the city further.

Once I get an answer from the mods, Airis will be going to school, experiences specism (which she won't tell Nike about it until later on), and will volunteer at the library to help gain more credits.

If characters begin to ask Nike to help in searching for intel over whatever, she'll do it. She somewhat trusts most of those in the coven. She'll want to help if it means they can improve or save this world.

AYYYYY. A military position sounds more ideal so Percival'll likely be moving into that as well! Take your time, I'm willing to plot around your hiatus and I'd love to know what Gaelio's thoughts on the city and the prospect of gathering intel would be like.

It's okay because I expect Dirk and Percival to have at least one intensely philosophical discussion about the city

So long as he can provide him with input and his thoughts, honestly. Don't get into trouble Dirk! Or do, maybe, even if Percival'll scold you.

The clerical, white collar side to the government deeefinitely has intel Percival would be interested in since he's currently placing his focus on law enforcement. Jay is someone he views as competent as it is so honestly, that's enough incentive to approach him outside of the coven town hall log I was going to make pertaining to this.

NONE OF YOU KIDS GET BANNED SMH...regardless I would love to see what you do with either of your characters and I will be here for it and how it ultimately pans out for the two of them!

First and foremost, can I just say that I love this plot...alongside what you're doing with Nike and her kid. While Percival would hate the prospect of using a child for his own means, depending on how Nike cooperates he'd certainly have some questions at the very least — which he will not be delicate about, unfortunately.

I'll be posting a town hall-esque log very soon so the idea may be put her into her head! Or at least the very start of it. We can branch from there on!

Kind of late, but Hibiki here would be interested in investigating too!! I'm not set on the details for his job and I need to confirm a few things with the mods, but I'd love him to be someone's secretary so he might have access to some documents?

Also belated (unexpected rl situation cropped up but I’ll be back to normal by the 1st.), Shiro is another cautious sort but he’s interested in carefully gathering intell. I am going to put him working security but haven’t decided on the area. I can put him somewhere that isn’t being covered by the others.

He’s a pilot and soldier, his first thoughts will be to see exactly how the city functions as a whole (daily paperwork, citizen movements, news etc). He’ll try to dig but cautiously, while testing just what is actively hidden or kept away from them. I have time today finally, so I’ll look into what job to move him into of the more trusted bracket (when he hits 3 weeks in his starter job) when i get home (and check with the mods).
