HEY ALL

So Jay and Dirk are trying to get together a plan to deal with the whole Uvi/Palai situation in advance of the raid on the 8th (Day 32) -- to that end, they're holding a strategy meeting to discuss tactics and gather volunteers.

The basic plan is like this:

• Willing members of the coven will be placed at strategic points throughout the city to defend the Palai from the Day 32 raid. There is a need for lookouts and fighters as well as healers/first aid!


• A small team of coven representatives will work with the Palai to coordinate this, and also to present to the Palai possible options about what to do after the raid--potentially, to negotiate or force an end to the raids.


• Depending on what the Palai ICly decide, the coven will either assist the Palai in attempting to negotiate a ceasefire with the Uvi or conducting a reconnaissance operation (basically, tracking the Uvi back to their "base" and trying to figure out how to stop the attacks.)


• In anticipation of the second option, Jay and Dirk are also putting together a small mobile team consisting of people who can fly, negotiators, and recon operatives.

There's more detail in the IC post, but this post is for OOC plotting and signups for characters who would want to be involved, as well as questions! Let me know if anything is unclear or needs to be elaborated on. ♥

hey this seems like my kinda place

Madoka's healing powers are pretty limited, so she'd probably want to be more of a lookout/fighter type! But the option to heal once is still available.

Waver would probably be a good lookout. He can also temporarily provide cover via localized smoke, so if there's a need for defense, he'd be available.

I'll tag in on the IC post tomorrow since it's late here but Minato's Personas are good for fighting (mostly physical, ice, and electricity attacks, but others too), which he'll be inclined towards, and also healing magic!

flashstep speed + flight for lookout here. He'll go into the thick of it as required.

(he'll also pinch-hit healing if needed but it's unreliable and limited in scope)

Fighters you say...?

Count Yang in! Not only can she make explosions, but any hit she takes is going to make her stronger as a powerhouse fighter. She'll be ALL OVER THIS!

Xion basically can fill in almost any role here, although she's still fairly green/new in all aspects (basic Cure/healing abilities, relatively new to fighting and recon, etc.)

Carla wants to... beat up monsters. She's good at it.

Offering bard support! She can't heal, but she can recover stamina and magic power with her music.

On the other side of things, she can use her music to strike as well as her bow and arrows. Her granted ability here is to dance and hypnotize, so she can make some uvi bastards dance as people carve 'em up.

So yeah. SHE BRINGS THE TUNES SHE BRINGS THE PAIN, BABY.

Julius is a supersoldier so he's very used to fighting things, especially if they're larger than him.

Percival can easily help in all three departments — he's very skilled in combat, has a good arsenal of magical abilities and his power is healing oriented, so he'll be here!

flynn's getting a sword courtesy of 9s so he's good to join in for fighting! he is super skilled in combat as a fighter and his new ability can also double as a healing ability as soon as he figures that out.

Geir will be flying around under the border between water and air, trying to knock Uvi out of the sky as they're descending to their attack point! He won't necessarily try to kill them offhand but may just knock them out of the sky and leave them easier pickings for whatever the people waiting on the ground want to do with them.

VERN WILL BE HERE TOO though honestly he will probably be either riding Geir OR just blinding any Uvi who get too close to stabbing people; he hates fights but is willing to protect the coven out of general necessity.

Hakuno's got some minor healing powers, so this is the best fit for her!

Qrow can turn into a... crow, LMAO. So flying and a bit of recon fall under that category! But even without that ability, he's considered pretty quick and resourceful, so I'd like to sign him up.

Mikleo can fly and move water freely so he's going here! He can also carry a couple of people if other characters who are suited but have less active mobility want a way to get around.

Depending on how the conversation goes *coughthanksRottycough* she'd probably be up for this one. She's go dirt-tunneling powers but more than anything she's fast, sneaky, and on the occasion she stops to think, pretty dang smart.

Alternately, if you need more people for this, Xion does her water powers and some experience with recon missions, plus fighting experience if they run into trouble en route. Limited experience with the water magic and recon though, so she should probably only be tapped if you feel like you need more people to fill the group out.

Does Xion's water magic include freezing? I'm looking at this and Mikleo could start up the process of freezing the seaweed temporarily but wouldn't be able to do the entire thing on his own.

Well since ice is still made up of water molecules it should, although she's never made it before. That being said she has 0 experience swimming so might need help on any kind of long chase. But I think it should be feasible.

No problem! Mikleo can carry her to get through the ocean if you want and I think between the two of them + Lunala and her Pokemon they might have enough oomph to do it. I'll drop the mods a line that they'd make the attempt, at least!

Moon has water manipulation powers and both a Pokemon who can swim and a Pokemon who can fly, so she could work here.

I'm late but if I can still throw down for 9S, he was literally built for recon. As an android he's swifter, stronger, and more durable than a normal human, but he's best suited to gathering information.

Of note: he's naturally intuitive and adapts very quickly by design...and he can record video/audio/data. Bonus for playback on holographic screens.
