hey guys. just wanted to let everyone know that i'm approaching the end of my term uni-wise, so i've got a load of crap on my plate and i'll be slow with everyone's tags and with participating in new events and such! i'm not really hiatusing since it's such a short period, but in case you're wondering where my tags have disappeared to, this is why.

after the 28th, i should be back to my regular speed, so see you guys then.

[UPDATE POST - JULY 22ND]

OOC NOTES

▢ Don't forget that the new world is here! Utilize the Google Doc and questions post so you can create your own logs and telepathy posts based on the new world.

▢ Today is the TDM, which you can find right here! Both current players and new players are welcome to use this post for testing muses, whether they plan to app them in this round, another round or just to have fun with the setting.

▢ Next Saturday is the monthly EMP post. If you want to advertise your cast, leave a reply to this comment with the characters you're looking for and the canon in the subject header.

▢ Finally, don't forget to get your AC in. Next week AC will begin being tabulated, so try and finalize your AC ASAP. Also, reminder: if you posted to the game's opening test drive, that can also count as your AC Bonus.

IC EVENTS

▢ There is an island floating up there on top of the ocean...are you curious about it? The island will be a bigger part of this story arc's plot, but that doesn't mean characters who would and/or could get to it can't learn a little bit about it. If you want your character to learn a little bit about the island, PM the mod journal and you'll be given a little taste of what the island has to offer. More detailed descriptions of the island will come later in the story arc. This offer will be open until the 25th, so PM quick!

▢ On the night of the 21st, Genette will have gathered as many coven members as possible (you'll get a telepathic ping) to a large, unused Palai house about 30 minutes from the marketplace. She's gotten permission from the Palai (who readily handed over one of their bigger, unused structures), and they've also offered to harbor any coven members who would like a more private quarters.

▢ On the 22nd, Genette will also have a message from Qri: new coven members will likely begin appearing. Whether they stay or not is up in the air, but this day will be a test drive (get it) of sorts. These new members will show up, then disappear again sometime the next morning. They may show up again if they are deemed appropriately useful.

▢ There are two prompts on the TDM that might interest already canon Spellbind characters: the prompt relating to the new energy drink AND the hatchery. You're free to utilize these in your own posts and consider them game canon scenarios.

▢ On the 25th, the Palai will have gotten together to prepare gifts for the coven members. This will be a three-day festival they hold with various types of festivities on each day.

Day One: A large collection of various foods will be brought to the largest rest area in Aimintas for the coven members to take and eat. This ranges from prepared foods to raw food materials that the coven can use for their own devices.

Day Two (26th): The Palai are desperate to get the intellectual respect of the coven. This day, they'll try to put their arts on display as much as possible. This includes an open air gallery of their creations, several plays and film screenings. Who knows what kind of media they've come across to imitate and pull from -- there's nothing to say they weren't gifted with their world's version of The Room and use it for creative inspiration.

Day Three (27th): Finally, the Palai finish their celebration with a more subtle, appreciative event. The Eltos will put on a spectacular showing of their magic, officially stating that this day on the Aimintas calendar shall be called The Day Of Togetherness. They attempt to convince the coven of their culture, trying their hardest to group them together in threes to show off how wonderful their culture is.

For Day Three, the Palai will try and get these groups into the arts as well, offering them supplies and activities that celebrate their sense of a union. You can sign up here to be randomized into a group of three (though some groups may be cut short depending on if the number of sign-ups are divisible by three), as well as a randomized activity the Palai will try to push them into doing. There won't be one big log about this, but instead you have the ability to utilize your own logs for this -- try to sign up only if you're sure you can commit so you don't leave your other group members in the lurch!

IMPORTANT DATES

▢ Reserves open a week from now! Current players CAN reserve new characters and app them, and caps and limits will be revisited after this app cycle. Apps will, of course, open on the 1st.

▢ EMP is also next week, so make sure you get your castmate request responses in ASAP!

also joining the slowatus train until the 28th because of an impending exam of doom this upcoming week. i'll be slower on current threads and probably not as likely to start new things until then. i'm very open to back-tagging after that, though, so please let me know if there's something you'd like me to tag into!
